Detailed Employment Notification No: CMRL/HR/CON/02/2026 dated 11-02-2026 Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), a Joint Venture of Government of India and Government of Tamil Nadu, is a special purpose vehicle (SPV) entrusted with the responsibility of implementing the Metro Rail Project in the city of Chennai. CMRL invites applications from qualified and experienced personnel for the appointment of under mentioned posts on contract / deputation basis from Indian Railways or other Metro organizations. S. (or) To draw equivalent cadre IDA pay scale in CMRL with IDA, HRA and Cafeteria Allowance (20% of Basic Pay). (ii) Age, qualification & experience stipulated for the above posts should be as on 11-02-2026. Age & Post qualification experience will be relaxed for deserving candidates. (iii) Selected candidates on contract appointment may be considered for IDA Pay Scale on contract basis subject to satisfactory completion of 2 years contract period, depending upon the requirement of CMRL and performance of the candidate. Applicants who are applying through proper channel from Govt./PSU's with minimum 2 years in regular pay scale may be considered for IDA Pay on contract basis directly on selection, as per the existing terms and conditions of CMRL policy.

Page 2 of 8 (iv) Higher remuneration / Higher post shall be considered based on the past experience, performance in the interview, higher qualification, exceptional credentials and expertise in the relevant field. (v) Apart from the consolidated pay, benefits like Medical & Personal Accident Insurance, Life Insurance, Mobile Phone reimbursement & SIM Card for official use and other admissible allowances applicable as per the extant rules of CMRL HR policy shall be paid. 1) Required Qualification and Experience: - i) Joint General Manager (Signal) on deputation / contract (01 Post) (a) Required Qualification Must be a B.E/B.Tech in (ECE) / (EEE) or a combination of any of these disciplines from a Govt. recognized Institute / University approved by AICTE/UGC. Post graduation in the relevant field is an added advantage. (b) Required years of Experience For deputation basis : Should be in JAG/SG Grade with 12 years of experience in the respective field of work mentioned below. For Contract basis Should posses post qualification executive experience of minimum 15 years in the respective field of work mentioned below. The incumbent should posses experience in Signalling systems of Railway / Metro / Sub-urban Rail systems / LRT/ PSU/ Metro or Railway Project related organizations in the following fields: i. Experience in implementation / execution of projects / maintaining assets in Metro Signalling system such as CBTC, distance to go based Metro Signalling etc ii. Implementation of design, installation, commissioning of backbone OFC, copper or other cable, commissioning of LAN/WAN server, digital/IP exchanges, PA System and Surveillance System, wireless transmission system. iii. Experience in Metro Railway project operation of wireless transmission system, AFTC based automatic signalling /CBTC signalling system and centralized operations and mission critical communication systems would be an added advantage. iv. Experience in tendering and contract management will be an added advantage. v. Experience of working in CBTC/DTG/PSD Signalling will be given preference ii) Deputy General Manager (Operations) on deputation / contract (01 Post) a) Required Qualification Must be a B. E / B.Tech (EEE/ ECE/ Mech /CSE) or a combination of any of these disciplines or Post Graduate degree from a government recognized institute / university approved by AICTE/UGC.

For Contract basis Should posses post qualification executive experience of minimum 13 years in the respective field of work mentioned below. The incumbent should posses experience in Operations & Maintenance of Railway / Metro / Suburban rail system/ LRT / Government / PSU/ Metro or Railway related project organizations. iii)Deputy General Manager (Telecom) on deputation / contract (01 Post) a) Required Qualification Must be a BE / B.Tech in (ECE/EEE) or a combination of any of these disciplines from a Government recognized Institute/ University approved by AICTE / UGC. Post graduation in the relevant field is an added advantage. b) Required years of Experience For deputation basis : Should be in JAG Grade with 10 years of experience in the respective field of work mentioned below. For Contract basis Should posses post qualification executive experience of minimum 13 years in the respective field of work mentioned below. The incumbent should posses experience in Telecom systems of Railway / Government / Metro / PSU/ Metro or Railway related Project organizations in the following fields: i. Experience in Implementation/ Execution of Projects, Design, Installation, Testing, Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance of Telecommunication infrastructure. ii. Experience in Design, Installation, Commissioning of OFC based back-bone communication systems, Digital/IP/Analogue exchanges, Access Control, Display Systems, Wireless transmission systems, Networking, Network Switches, LAN/WAN servers, PA System and Surveillance system. iii. Experience of working in modern urban metro rail systems will be given preference. iv. Experience in Tendering & Contract Management and Procurement will be an added advantage. iv) Deputy General Manager (Power System & Overhead Equipment) (01 post) & Manager - (Power System & Overhead Equipment) on deputation / contract (01 Post) a) Required Qualification Must be a B.E / B. Tech (EEE) graduate from a Government recognized University /Institute, approved by AICTE / UGC. Post graduation in the relevant discipline is desirable. b) Required years of Experience For deputation basis : For DGM level : Should be in JAG Grade with 10 years of experience in the respective field of work mentioned below.

For Contract basis Should posses post qualification executive experience of minimum 13 years for DGM level & 07 years for Manager level in the respective field of work mentioned below The incumbent should posses experience in Power & OHE systems of Railway / Metro / Government / PSU/ Metro or Railway related project organizations in the following fields: i. Experience in Design, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of Power system (33kV & above), 25 kV OHE (FOCS & ROCS), 110/66/25 kV Traction substation equipment & distribution system. ii. Experience in managing Traction substation equipment, cable distribution system and SCADA works. iii. Knowledge in processing of EIG approvals, Indian Electricity Rules and contract management will be an added advantage. v) Deputy General Manager (Electrical & Mechanical) (01 Post) & Manager (Electrical & Mechanical) on deputation / contract (01 Post) a) Required Qualification Must be a B.E / B.Tech (EEE /ECE/Mech.) graduate from a Govt. recognized University / Institute, approved by AICTE / UGC. b) Required years of Experience For deputation basis : For DGM level : Should be in JAG Grade with 10 years of experience in the respective field of work mentioned below. For Manager level : Should be in SS Grade with 05 years of experience in the respective field of work mentioned below. For Contract basis Should posses post qualification executive experience of minimum 13 years for DGM level & 07 years for Manager level in the respective field of work mentioned below. The incumbent should posses experience in MEP / E&M fields of Railway / Metro / Government / PSU/ infrastructure / Metro or Railway related Project organizations as mentioned below in the following field: i. Experience in project management, installation, testing and commissioning of E&M work - LT/ HT distribution, electrical machinery, wiring, cabling, lighting, earthing & bonding, VAC, fire system, water supply, pumping, ETP etc and other systems entrusted. ii. Experience in planning, designing, design review, vendor selection, QA/QC, testing, installation & commissioning of E&M systems for Projects in Urban & Suburban environment in large projects. iii. Should be conversant with national and international standards, Fire & Electrical Safety, NFPA and obtaining statutory clearances.

Page 5 of 8 iv. Should be conversant with computerized designing & drawings, latest E&M technologies, BIM models, SCADA/ BMS Systems. v. Experience in modern Urban Rail systems / Infrastructure projects, multi-lateral funding, GC (General Consultant) concept will be an added advantage. vi. Experience in contract procurement, management, able to plan, monitor and execution of large infrastructure projects will be an added advantage vi) Manager - Signal on deputation / contract (01 Post) a)Required Qualification Must be a B.E/B.Tech in (ECE) / (EEE) or a combination of any of these disciplines from a Govt. recognized Institute / University approved by AICTE/UGC. Post graduation in the relevant field is an added advantage. b)Required years of Experience For deputation basis : Should be in SS Grade with 05 years of experience in the respective field of work mentioned below For Contract basis Should posses post qualification executive experience of minimum 07 years in the respective field of work mentioned below The incumbent should posses experience in signalling systems of Railway / Metro / Sub-urban Rail systems / LRT/ High Speed Rail / PSU/ Metro or Railway related Project organizations in Installation, Testing & Commissioning and/or Operation & Maintenance of Signalling Systems. 2) Selection process: The selection methodology comprises of two - stage process, interview followed by a medical examination. The selection process will judge the candidate on different facets like knowledge, skills, comprehension, attitude, aptitude, and physical fitness. Medical Examination: Expenses for the first-time medical examination of the candidate will be borne by CMRL. However, in case a candidate seeks extension for joining, then the second time medical examination expenditure will be borne by the candidate. To & fro travel expenses for the medical test shall be borne by the candidate. The candidate who fails the prescribed medical test will not be given any alternative employment and the decision of CMRL is final on this issue. 3) Character & Antecedents: The success in the above stated selection process does not confer any right to appointment unless CMRL is satisfied after such an inquiry, as may be considered necessary, that the candidate's character and antecedents is suitable in all respects for appointment to the service. 4) Concessions & Relaxations: a. The age limit prescribed shall be increased by five years in respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyars) or Scheduled Tribes and two years in respect of candidates belonging to Most Backward Classes/ Denotified Communities, Backward Classes (other than Muslim) or Backward Classes (Muslim).

A Differently Abled Person shall be eligible for an age concession up to ten years over and above the age limits prescribed for the notified post by direct recruitment only, provided the applicant is otherwise fully suitable and the disability is not such as would render him incapable of efficiently discharging the duties w.r.t post for which the candidate is selected. c. The upper age for Ex-Servicemen will be prescribed age limit plus the length of service in armed forces plus 03 years.
