NATIONAL EMPLOYMENT SERVICE e-Directory of Employment Exchanges/Career Centres

In pursuance of provisions of ILO (Employment Service) Convention 1948 (No.88), ratified by Government of India in June, 1959, Ministry of Labour & Employment (MoLE) is mandated to provide for free Public Employment Service (PES) under a national authority and to lay down standard policies and procedures in consultation with the States/ UTs for its smooth functioning. Employment Service in India is provided through a network of Employment Exchanges/Career Centres running under the control of respective State /UT Government. In order to efficiently implement Public Employment Services there is a need to communicate with Directorates/Commissionerate's of Employment in all States/UTs frequently. Keeping this in view, Directorate General of Employment, M/o Labour & Employment has initiated preparation of an e-Directory of Employment Exchanges/Career Centres functioning throughout the country based on the inputs/information received from State/UT Directorates/Commissionerate's of Employment. This e-Directory will not only cater to the needs of all Employment Officers working in Employment ExchangesCareer Centers across the country but will also be beneficial for different stakeholders to contact the concerned Employment Exchange/Career Centres functioning in any State/UT. Besides providing the full communication address, efforts have been made to incorporate the email-id and contact numbers of each and every Employment Exchange/Career Centre to the maximum possible extant based on the information received from respective State/UT offices. However, as the contact details are dynamic in nature, one may visit the website of respective State/UT Directorate/Commissionerate of Employment for validity and authenticity.
