No. 94 सत्यमेव जयते THE JHARKHAND GAZETТE EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY 17 Maagh, 1941(S) Ranchi, Saturday, 6th February, 2021 Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms & Rajbhasha Notification 5 February, 2021 THE JHARKHAND COMBINED CIVIL SERVICES.EXAMINATION ( Amendment) RULES, 2021 No.--11/Lo.Se.Aa-01-03/2020 ka. 804 -- In exercise of the power conferred by the proviso to the Article 309 of the Constitution of Indiä, the Governor of Jharkhand hereby enacts the following rules - The Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Examination (It Amendment) Rules, 2021 1. 2. Short Title, Extent and Commencement :- (a) These rules may be called the "Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Examination (Ist Amendment) Rules, 2021". (b) These shall extend to the whole State of Jharkhand. (c) These rules shall come into force from the date of their publication in the State official Gazette. In the "The Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Examination Rules, 2021" proviso to rule-17(ii) is as follows :- Provided further that if adequate number of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/Extremely Backward Classes (Annexure-11 Backward Classes (Annexure-II)/Economically Weaker Section are not available amongst the candidates to be declared qualified for admission to the Main Examination, the Comnission may at their diseretion keep the cut off marl.;

Jharkhand Gazette (Extraordinary), Saturday, 6th February, 2021 maximum up to 8 (eight) percent less than that kept for the last selected candidate, but it shall not be less than the minimum marks mentioned in sub-rule (i)." shall be substituted as below :- the ". Provided. further that if adequate number of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/Extremely. Backward Classes (Annexure-I)/ Backward Classes (Annexure-II)/Economically Weaker Sectioh are not available amongst the candidates to be declared qualified for admission to the Main Examination,the Commission shall .reduce the cut off marks for them till adequate number of-candidates belonging to these categories are declared qualified for the Main Examination but the reduced cut off marks shall not be less than the minimunr marks mentioned in sub-rule(i)." 3. In the "The Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Examination Rules, 2021" proviso to clatuse,3(iv) of Appendix-I, Section-I, Plan of Examination is as follows :- ".Provided further that if adequate number of candidates belonging to the Scheduled .Caste/Scheduled tribes/Extremely -Backward Classes. (Annexüre-I)/ Backward Class (Annexure-II)/Economically Weaker Section (EWS) are not available amongst the candidates to be declared qualified for admission to the Interview Test, the Commission may keep the cut off marks maximum up to 8 (eight) pereent less-than the last-seleeted candidate,-but it shall notbe less than the minimum marks mentioned in rule 17(1)" shall be substitütéd äs below:- " Provided further that if adequate number of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduld Tribes/Extremely Backward Classes (Annexure-I)/. Backward Classes (Annexure-II)/Bconomically. Weaker Section (EWS) are not available amongst the candidates to be declared qualified for admission to the Interview Test, the Commission skall reduce the eut off marks for them till adequate number of candidates belonging to these 'categories are declared. qualified for the Interview Test but the reduced cut off marks shall not be less than the minimum marks mentioned in rule 17(1)." Approval has been granted on the proposal through Departmental Memorandum Memo. No. 11/Lo.Se.Aa-01-03/2020-741 dated. 03.02.2021 in State Cabinet's Meeting dated 03.02.2021 vide Item no. 31.
