Public Notice - Misuse of NABARD's Name on the pretext of sanctioning loan

PUBLIC NOTICE It has been brought to our notice that certain unscrupulous elements claiming to be representatives of NABARD have been engaged in collecting margin money for loans supposedly sanctioned by NABARD. In this connection, we would like to inform that NABARD doesn't lend to individuals directly in any of the schemes, rather routes Government subsidies to the beneficiaries through banks. It never asks for any margin money from individuals in its loan products. In order to save the institutions/members of public from cheating and financial loss etc., NABARD has urges the public to remain alert and not to fall prey to frauds perpetrated by individuals who impersonate to be representative of NABARD. Institutions and members of public are also advised to be cautious of such in their own interest and desist from entering into any dealings with them and not to respond such fraudulent letters/e-mails. Institutions/members of public dealing with such persons would be doing so at their own cost and consequences and NABARD shall not be responsible for anything in this regard.
